JUST A FEW REMINDERS ABOUT THE LUNCH PROGRAM……….

 

·       Prices for the 2007-2008 school year - Elementary Meals (Pre-K - Grade 5) $1.70.  Junior High Meals (Grades 6,7,8) $1.80.  

·        Please consult the school calendar for field trips, etc to make certain you are not ordering lunch on a day when you know your child will not be in school.

·        PLEASE keep a record on the menu which days your child(ren) have ordered lunch.  Many children have been coming to school without a lunch and expecting that we will be able to provide a lunch for them from the hot lunch program.  The lunches are pre-ordered in exact amounts 3 weeks in advance, so there are NO extras available for students who forget their lunch. LUNCH ORDER DUE DATES ARE FIRM DATES.  NO LATE ORDERS CAN BE ACCEPTED!! This is the policy of the Nutritional Development Services offices.  Schedules are extremely tight between the time the menus are made available to us to distribute and the time the food orders must be submitted.

·        In the event your child forgets a lunch, they may call home to request one be brought to them OR other children will be asked to share with them so they will not go hungry.  We are unable to provide meals from the hot lunch program that were not ordered and paid for in advance.

·        If you do not calculate the cost of the lunches ordered correctly, no change will be given, no credits can be issued.  If you shortchange the total amount, only the number of lunches paid in full can be ordered.

·        If you have a question about the availability of a feature of the program, please do not call the Archdiocesan Office of Nutrition Services for the correct answer about OUR program and its features.  Not all schools have elected to offer the same services.

·        If your child does not finish their lunch and has UNOPENED containers, they will be told to take them home.  Any opened containers that are not transportable will not be brought home.

·        Any communications about the lunch program will be distributed through the family communication envelope or in the classroom. Please check the family envelope and your child's folders for any updates.

·        Remind your children they MUST take a minimum of three items each day they purchase lunch.
