The students will learn about the lives of the Saints and feast days, including St. Joseph, and the Annunciation.  During the third trimester, we will also focus on the parts of the Mass, including the Liturgy of the Eucharist. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The students will identify plane/solid figures, lines of symmetry, and position/directionality of shapes.

Please remember to review your subtraction facts nightly. 

In Theme 2, the students will discover that members of a community are connected in a variety of ways.  They see that each person in a community plays a part in making a community special.

The students will write creative stories, diamante/acrostic poems, information /descriptive paragraphs and autobiographies.

The students will learn  about historical people and events, such as William Penn, Jr. and Cinco de Mayo, as well as,  explore the political divisions of a country, a state, and a town/city.

* Perform experiments to test whether brushing and flossing removes plaque from teeth.

* Investigate changes in heart rate after exercising using scientific equipment.

* Conduct experiments to show how the USDA Food Pyramid helps creates a balanced diet and a healthy body.
