J Short bookshelf J Baby, Lysol, Clorox, or other wipes J Bottle of spray cleaner, like Lysol J Any kids’ books you are about to throw away. |

Writing Process ! Pre-Writing: Can be a list, an ideas web, etc. , something quickly jotted down to gather ideas ! Drafting: A “sloppy copy”, putting the ideas into sentences ! Revising: Checking to make sure your ideas are focused and clear, etc. ! Editing: Checking spelling, and grammar ! Publishing: Polishing your copy for neatness, illustrations, etc. |

Class Novels We read the following books through the year: & Frindle & Number the Stars & The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankenweiler Each child is required to have his or her own copy of the book while we are reading it together. This may be obtained from any bookstore, library, or our school library (copies are limited). Please note that many of our class novels are available through the scholastic book order, usually inexpensively. |
