FAMILY SURVEY

If you have not already done so, please return your complete family income survey as soon as possible.  This survey helps to determine how much public funding our school will receive for textbooks and other materials.  Again, this information is held in the strictest confidence.

TERRA NOVA TESTING PREPARATION

Terra Nova In-view testing begins this Thursday for Grades 3 – 7.  Terra Nova testing begins on Monday, March 8th for Grades Kindergarten through Grade 7.  Students do not need to study for these tests but they are an important part of our curriculum and assessment process.  The most important preparation is to have your child get a full night’s sleep each night during testing week and eat a good breakfast each school day to keep them energized.  For our current 7th graders, this test is also important because it will be the standardized test score used for admission and placement decisions by the high school they will attend.  Please encourage your child to do their best each test day.

COMMUNITY PRAYER

Our students are led daily in prayer as a school community by fellow students at the beginning of the day.  We recognize those students who spread God’s word during the week of March 1st: Sammy O’Hara Sam Reynolds, Savannah Heidrick, Angela Cosenza,

Kierra Nash.

BLOCS APPLICATIONS – 2010/2011 SCHOOL YEAR

Parents can download the application for EITC funds through the BLOCS program for the 2010/2011 school year at www.blocs.org or request a copy from the school office to apply for tuition assistance funds.  The deadline for submission to the Private School Aid Service is March.  We encourage families who may need tuition help to complete the application if you meet the income guidelines.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS

Applications for the Joey Casey Jr. Foundation Scholarship Program and Nativity Financial Assistance for the 2010/2011 school year are now available in the school office.

SCHOOL PICTURES-Retake day

Picture Re-take day will be Tuesday, March 23rd for those students who were absent on our original picture day.  If you are unhappy with the school pictures that were returned to you last week, your child may have pictures retaken provided the original picture package is returned in its entirety. For absentee students, they must have their picture package envelope with payment on the day of retakes. Eighth grades students have received their proof packets and are to make selections from them and return to school by the due date listed.

REGISTRATION DATES

Registration for new In-parish students will now be taken by appointment only.  Please call the school office for an appointment. Registration for new Out of parish and Non-Catholic students will be announced at a later date.

All current students have received re-registration materials.  Forms and first payment of registration fees were due by February 17th, so if you haven’t already done so, please re-register as soon as possible to reserve your child’s space in school for 2010-2011.  Re-registration must be completed by March 22nd or late fees will apply.  See Re-Registration packet for details.
