BLOCS APPLICATIONS FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE

The BLOCS Educational Improvement Tax Credit applications have been received in the school office for the 2007-2008 school year.  The application deadline for this year is Friday, March 16, 2007.  Initial awards letters will then be sent out to every applicant family later in the spring or early summer.  BLOCS strives to give assistance to those with the greatest financial need and who qualify under the state guidelines; however, this does not guarantee an award.  Families with one child and an income of $60,000 or less qualify to apply.  An income allowance of $10,000 for each additional dependent is added.  We ask that you take advantage of this opportunity to receive tuition assistance.  Completed applications are mailed to an independent analysis company for review and consideration for awards.

Also, BLOCS has announced that the Department of Community and Economic Development has approved BLOCS as a Pre-Kindergarten EITC scholarship organization.  Families who wish to apply for assistance for Pre-K may request and file the same BLOCS application form as is used for grades K-12.    On page two, section E (Dependents), please indicate Pre-K in the grade level section.    BLOCS is aggressively seeking corporate donations for this Pre-K scholarship fund.

Tuition assistance funds are available from designated funds contributed by businesses under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) to this foundation for distribution to registered Nativity students in any grade PK through 8th. Please request an application from the school office for this fund.

Nativity of Our Lord Scholarship Fund and Sponsor A Student Program

Individual and memorial donations made to either of these funds are available to help registered students with tuition expenses each school year.  We encourage any individual to consider a donation that is tax deductible to these funds to help needy students continue their Catholic education.  Please send donations to the school office correctly marked for either the Scholarship Fund or Sponsor A Student.
