HELLO AND GOODBYE

As summer beckons us all, we say goodbye to some familiar and cherished faces at our school.  We wish Miss Kate Iacobellis only the best as she embarks on a new calling, entering the convent of the Dominican Sisters.  We pray for her happiness and fulfillment in her vocation.  Mr. Gregg Black, Music teacher, leaves us after 10 years to enter a new phase of his musical pursuits.  We will happily say hello again in the fall to Mrs. Trish Morris, formerly on our faculty, as she rejoins us to teach 4th grade.  Miss Katie Fetterolf will be moving her classroom to teach 2nd grade.  Thank you to all for their dedication to our school, past, present and future.

LOST AND FOUND

The school Lost and Found located in the Library will be emptied at the end of school.  Please come to claim any missing uniforms, sweatshirts, gloves, hats and other miscellaneous gear.  Any unclaimed uniform items will be given to the Uniform Resale shop and other items will be donated to Goodwill after June 17th.

STUDENTS NOT RETURNING TO NATIVITY IN SEPTEMBER

For those students who will not be returning to our school in September we wish them the best of luck in their new schools.  Parents, please remember when you register your child in a new school that you will need to sign a Release of Records there which will be sent to us after the close of the school year.  This will ensure your child’s records are forwarded to the correct school over the summer.  The school office will NOT release academic or other school records to parents to carry to a new school and will NOT send such records to the new school without a signed release from the parents.

STUDENTS NOT YET RE-REGISTERED FOR 2010-2011

If your child is not yet re-registered in our school for September, please do so as quickly as possible as long as tuition accounts are current.  All tuition payments are now due in full.  Please notify the Parish Business Manager to make arrangements to complete payments and be approved for re-registration.

GYM UNIFORM ORDERS

Gym uniform order forms have been sent home.  All orders must be prepaid and turned in to the school office by June 25th to guarantee delivery at the stationery sale in August.

COMMUNITY PRAYER

Our students are led daily in prayer as a school community by fellow students at the beginning of the day.  We recognize those students who spread God’s word during the week of June 7th:  Jennifer Wagner, Josh Cyphers, Jessica Conroy, Chris Allen, Tommy Harris

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Information will be sent home to our current volunteers whose clearances will be expiring over the summer or during the first part of the new school year.  Please apply for updated clearances as soon as possible so that all requirements are met for the upcoming school year.

Please consult the Home & School Volunteer Guideline Information for the requirements to volunteer in our school.  We appreciate all our volunteers but must follow the policy set by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  Established families must have current clearances and attend a Safe Environment Training workshop in order to continue to volunteer.  Please consult the Nativity website to obtain a full list of upcoming Safe Environment Training workshop.
